RainbowShine Equestria Girls

I've been drawing in the style of the show for a while and I feel I've really grown as an artist with how much I've been improving over time. I may not be the most talented, but I have a lot of fun anytime I start drawing. However, the reason I began drawing this piece in particular is a bit different from my normal reasoning because of two main reasons.

1: I've never tried to draw in the Equestria Girls style and I figured with how far along I've come I could give it a try and see where it leads. Maybe one day I make it a regular art style for my page? Who can really say? I mean, maybe if enough people like what I've done with this I'll have the confidence to do more. 

2: I honestly couldn't sleep and thought that doing some artwork would help...dumb reason I know but what are you going to do?

(Bonus) 3: I was also kind of shy and not really very open when I was younger, says the 20 year old, and this base really caught my memory of that time and inspired me creatively.

I never thought I'd be posting artwork to this site, heck I never thought my artwork would be good enough that anyone would really want to see it. But the more I draw and the more I post, the more I've began noticing that while people constructively criticize my work, no one has ever said that my style is bad or wrong. Getting a bit real for a second, I realize that using bases to some may seem lazy or not as creative, but the problem stems from the fact that my bases on their own look horrible right now when I try to draw them myself, and so I feel that my particular art style isn't finished and still needs time to work out. But the fact that I use bases so much is the reason I'm improving. They help me keep my lines where they need to go and show me ways of improving my own bases from time to time.
